Gobleki Tepi is being covered by cement, permanent walkway is to replace the temporary one (which will still interfere with excavation and preservation) by Turkey's WEF partner.

Why are they leaving Gobleki Tepi to be excavated by future generations....Is there something there they don't want us to know....

It's always ceremonial but probably just a really nice bath for important people

Ever notice how everything always starts " about 5000 years ago" according to the experts?

IVC is much older than Egyptian civilization.
IVC, Sumerian, Japanese, Mayan and Gobekli Tepe were over 10, 000 years old.
The Japanese still have the same drainage system as the one in IVC.
8:30 The priest figure is very similar to many figures from the Sumerian civilization.
It all comes down to Plato's Atlantis which was "Kumari Kandam", the present day Maldives went under sea around 11, 700 years ago.

It is obvious we don't know as much as we think we know. There must be some other factor at work here. These ancient civilizations were much too advanced for a simple evolutionary explanation. Aliens, another ancient species since extinct? I don't know but I do know there is something else....

The "Indus Valley Civilisation" would be more correctly known as the "Sindhu Saraswati Civilisation."

It's really a shame and par for course. All over the world there's evidence of lost cultures who've built incredible constructions and then it was as though they just vanished. We see these great ruins and wonder why they vanished and left it all behind. How could the folks who've lived in some of these areas for many many generations not know about the people who built these places? I'm sure there are many reasons and you could spend all day listing them but I think environmental change and weather are probably the biggest culprits. When we see these places today we see deserts and sand and very hot weather. Some of these places in their heyday were wet, lush, forested, with prime farmland and good water sources. At some point the environment changed for the worst rendering these places unlivable probably for a number of generations. So, since we humans have/had historical amnesia these places and people were quickly forgotten about and life goes on till they are rediscovered and we realize that there is another chapter of forgotten human history that can be tossed onto the pile of other chapters of forgotten human history. One thing all this shows is that we humans were quite intelligent and resourceful from our earliest beginnings. It's just too bad that we lost that intelligence and then rediscovered it over and over again. Who knows where we'd be if we had had an unbroken history from our earliest beginnings till today.

The Burkle impact about 2900 BCE made a crater in the southern Indian Ocean that is about 29 km diameter. The tsunami impact West Australia about 1.5 km high. This impacted India and the Kuwait Iraq desert leaving chevrons. The mountains if Ururat includes Mt. Nisir where a nearby mosque dedicated to the prophet Noh, and Christians built a shelter for pilgrims over 1000 years ago. The 'flood" was a tsunami and the evaporated seawater took a long time to condense as rain.

you should never try and embellish the description of a mud-brick structure as 'complex'. its there, thats all that matters.

If you want something to last, write it in stone.
What was the ethnicity of the people? What did they look like? Some of those sculptures look quite African.
