I worked in strategy consulting for 10+ years and the reality of strategy is that it is quite simple. I can summarize it in three parts:
1. Figuring out the current situation
2. Making bets about the future
3. Communicating those bets to the organization

0:00 Strategy is simple
0:25 First phase: assessing the current state
1:20 Synthesizing the information
2:10 Probabilistic bets on the future
2:32 Case example: Pepsi
3:30 How strategy is communicated
4:20 How strategy evolves

What is strategy ?
When a overthinking and information overload mind is given proper, channel, training and direction .
Information overload is bad but if the same information is organised you become a sharp tool.
In other words analyze look from all possible angles past, history, politics and the relevant Doman come with possible outcome and then you plan it based on the predictions you have made.

Hi Paul. I would add that strategy is little bit more granular. It means it needs to address a challenge or problem. Strategy needs to include steps how we the company is going to achieve their goal.
