Putin: 'We'll Defeat Them' / Diplomacy seems DEAD

The presentation argues that Russian President Vladimir Putin has signaled a shift away from diplomacy, suggesting that he intends to resolve the war in Ukraine through military means. The speaker claims that Russia holds significant military, diplomatic, and economic leverage and that the West's failure to negotiate a settlement has pushed Russia toward escalation.

Key points include:

Putin's recent comments to Russian military personnel, particularly in the Arctic region, where he criticized Western leaders and emphasized Russia’s military strength.

The claim that Russia now holds the strategic initiative along the 2,000 km front and is prepared to press forward with an offensive.

Evidence of large Russian military formations forming outside of combat zones, which could lead to significant breakthroughs in the north and south of Ukraine.

U.S. intelligence reports aligning with the view that Russia has gained the upper hand and may soon force Ukraine and its Western allies into negotiations on Moscow's terms.

Putin’s unusual appearance in a military uniform and his directive to "completely defeat the enemy," indicating a more aggressive stance.

Concerns that simultaneous Russian offensives in the north (Sumy and Chernihiv) and south (Zaporizhzhia) could cause a collapse of Ukrainian defenses.

The possibility that the war could be decided in weeks or months rather than years, countering some Western assessments predicting a prolonged conflict.

Criticism of Western leadership, particularly European leaders like Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer, for continuing to provide military support to Ukraine instead of seeking a negotiated peace.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov likening the current Western stance to historical conflicts, accusing Europe of attempting to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.

The presentation concludes that Russia is serious about escalating the war and that Western actions, such as military aid and potential NATO involvement, are worsening the situation rather than addressing its root causes.

Putin, as well as the Russian diplomatic corps, must be very tired of dealing with fools! It is not possible to deal rationally, with irrational people!

I’ve studied Putin for 13 years. That man doesn’t talk just because he has a tongue. If Putin, and other Russian leader, such as Lavrov, say something as fact, it is fact. They are honorable and honor their word, as they should.

The collective West created quite a few monstrosities: the EU, NATO, USAID and Zelenski

The Russians had been more than patient in the face of constant provocations since 2014. I don't regard Russia as an enemy. From the UK.

😢😢 Im from UK. I HATE our leader. Hes as delusional as zelensky. Starmer does NOTHING for his own citizens. But in a group of EU leaders I suppose it makes him feel like a big man....NOT a smart man 😢

At this point we should just drop it. It’s taking away important time from other things we should be focused on instead.

Thank God for you Col. Lots of us in the west don't understand modern warfare and have absolutely no experience or understanding of what's going on, on the Ukrainian battlefield. My cousin did two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, went back as a PMC in Afghanistan, been in dozens of fire fights, couple of injuries...said, our government and media do not understand the Russian military mindset when it comes to war. He said Russia believes in overwhelming the enemy with mass firepower and have the capability and capacity to destroy the country of Ukraine in a week and turn it into GAZA, if they wanted to....but that will probably collapse the Russian government due to the amount of Civilians lost, including Russians. Said, the SMO is not a war, especially for Russian standards..He said, Russia could repeat Fallujah a 100 times in Ukraine in a week..So I know you're right Col. God bless you and thank you for your service.

The EU is talking about "strength".

"Strength" is diplomacy based on a scientifical basis, humanity, coooperation, character, reason, deep thinking, a sense and a searching for peace..

All these negotiations are a waste of time. This has been proven time and time again. Unconditional surrender is the only way Russia will achieve its aims once and for all.

I'm russian, so russian is my first language. I've seen that interview and I'd translate Putin's words as "...earlier we were going to push them back, now looks like we have to finish them off". Basically, yeah, this is change from defensive stance to offensive one as I see it.
