Putin: Defeating Russia is an illusion for those ignorant of history

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at the BRICS Summit in Kazan that Moscow’s adversaries are using the conflict in Ukraine as a means to try and defeat Russia militarily, but they will fail.
Russia’s opponents “no longer hide their goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on our country,” Putin said. “I will say this directly: these are illusory calculations, made only by those unfamiliar with Russia’s history.”
