Hikaru is actually right, however what he left out is that you MUST be pretty good at tactics to learn how to punish mistakes. I reccomend doing a lot of puzzle rush to get good at doing tactics quickly and a lot of normal puzzles to get better at tactics in general. Even a little (15 per day) can go a long way! (But try to do much more if you can)

Honestly, I took this tip seriously a few months ago, it helped me crack 1000 for the first time. Just move fast and confidently, your opponent messes up, you punish it and win. Lots of free pieces or weird knight/bishop attacks happen.

Difference is also Hikaru punishes every single mistake. They likely maie mistakes against u too, but dont notice it

Im a beginner and Blitz and especially bullet are just blunder fests. High lvl players know the game so well that they don’t have to second guess their moves or only rarely.

I have experienced this, my opponent was playing so fast I was down 3 minutes on time but he is only down 1 minute, it feels like everything he is doing was calculated and would eventually lead to checkmate my instincts go I have to make an unexpected move like blundering etc
