5 Reasons NOT to Buy A Diesel

Following on from the last video, here are 5 reasons not to buy a diesel car - again, in my opinion and so views will vary! Let me know in the comments if you agree or not.

The 5 reasons are:
- Sound
- RPM running out of steam
- Not emission zone exempt anymore
- Diesel fuel more expensive than unleaded (UK)
- Warm-up times

Unless you got your own racing track it's a waste having 300- 400 bhp car where are you actually gonna be able to apply that power ?

i had a volvo xc90 diesel, the old one, it sounded like a dream, the turbo whistle when u put your foot down was amazing.

I have a lot of fun with my 435D, has launch control and get to 62mph usually in 4.6 seconds while returning me 35/40mpg, it also keeps up or beats some some of these petrol cars on the streets, I admit sounds usually ain’t the best but with the 435d being a inline 6 twin turbo it sounds good for a diesel, I have heated seats so never really cared about the air con not heating up quickly, I think diesel have come along way, not saying they am better then petrol as petrol will always be ahead but some of these sportier diesel have come along way

Zubair, you obviously bought the wrong diesel car make. I drive 2litre diesel Avensis... In a word., fabulous. The diesel sound adds to the experience. RPMs are constant throughout all gears and speeds. Emissions lower than most petrol, thus very low car tax.
Diesel about 10p. per litre cheaper than petrol here in Ireland, nó warm up time required. 70mpg, using dipetane additive.
Car 8 years old.... No problems. Mr. Diesel, if he were still alive would be proud man

Wow the thing about the heaters! My A220d takes so long to blow hot air! Yet my old Civic which was obviously petrol used to get going way faster, all makes sense now!
