tried a Legator 6 string fan fret some years ago... the neck profile was AWESOME... felt amazing... I loved it.

The earlier legators definitely had some QC issues, but they have come a long ways since then, i own several and they are awesome!

String rattle at the headstock happened to an old Firebird I had years ago. I "fixed" it by cutting the string long then winding it so the string pulls down closer to the headstock due to extra windings on the tuner shaft. That increases the angle of the string over the nut. Now and then slighter larger gauge strings, or even one larger string where it is needed fixes the rattle/buzz.

I don't play 7 or 8 string guitars. My usual set is .010 to .046, but on that Firebird I used .011 - .049 D'Darios. It worked and played/sounded about the same as .010s.

As for bending, you should use three fingers on the string and you can't tell much difference.

Compliments to you for your mix on the SLO100 track. It sounded great, and I'm super glad I already have an SLO30 because I'd definitely want a Soldano hearing that 😂. The Fishmans sound great in an 8 string. Great clarity all around it's cool to see the upper fret markers shift to the treble side of the fret board. I have a Shredzilla 8 in fan fret, and it took a while to get used to the fret dots being on the bass side with the angled frets.

If you like the look of the resin filled burl wood, check out the brand Carved from the US. They make phone cases in this style and I've had one for my phones over the last few years :)

I love my Legator 8! Got it at a discount so worth it. The other resin tops are satin, set thru and are 26.5-28 ms.

It's a very nice guitar. I think I have also seen this guitar on the Guitar Summit this year. A seven string would be my choice. But now I bought a 30" baritone...🤘
