I know I’m not alone here but I’ve never experienced the uncanny valley feeling. 🤷‍♂️ In addition, the originator of the term saw it as more of a thought experiment than a scientific hypothesis.

And while I don’t doubt that some human-like things creep out some people there’s no consistent pattern about what those things look like. For example, I have read that rag and Barbie dolls give some people the uncanny valley feeling. I don’t doubt that they feel that way but the fact that millions of children play with those dolls shows that it can’t be universal.
