Of course…a contractor loves a client that doesn’t complain about timeline, pays whatever is asked and doesn’t know when it is built right.

I'd like to see the backyard two years from now & see how everything's holding up.

I live in SoCal and we had half acre of land and the house came with no landscaping, it cost us 110K for a pool, spa, built-in bbq, 2 patio covers, a low wall spanning the width, ie 100 feet, another 50 ft of walls around the courtyard, (all stuccoed, 14 queen palm trees, 6 pigmy palms, 8 ficus trees, lots of flagstones in the backyard and around the pool and spa. Half a million is excessive. There was a handball and tether ball court.

It’s amazing when you get a good customer. It makes you want to do more for them. A lot of homeowners don’t get that..Absolutely gorgeous job T. Guys did great 👍

Great video!! As someone who owns rentals and have used countless contractors, you speak facts about the pure cost of materials and labour. This isn't a reality TV show where the builds are unrealistic, this is reality and NO ONE works for less than $20/hr on any renovation crew, unless you DIY. And something of this magnitude, let the Pro's take over, cheaper in the long run in my opinion. Loved your transparency, thanks for posting.

I work as a landscape architect for NWD in Palm Beach, Florida. I can assure you designing is expensive but the outcome will always be much more suitable for the client. Some clients make landscape design adjustments and sell the house, making more profit then what it was intentionally going for. To make money, you have to spend money 👍🏻

The real thief is the landscape company. No way this is 500k worth of landscaping.

So your definition of a great client is one you can overcharge and accepts, without issue, any errors in your work? You should have charged $200K to $250K for this project. I would have loved this client to. For $500K you did not build a firepit?

T I enjoy viewing your videos, sometimes built right cost money. Having the peace of mind with clients and your contractors is gold!!!!

Theres no way that should cost $500K unless you are building it on the Dark Side of the Moon! My friend lives in Manhattan Beach ($$$$) California and has a equally beautiful backyard complete with a salt water pool, BBQ pit set in stone work, a mini Kitchen, a hot tub and an entertainment area and it was only $250K. Easy going clients get taken for a ride apparently... 🤦🏼‍♂🤷🏼‍♂

Hi, Tigran! How do you price out your projects? Do you add a margin on top of all material costs and call it a day or do you add in costs of delivery, dumps, square foot (per material used), etc...? If you already have a video discussing a breakdown of these things, will you please point me in the right direction? Thank you so much for your videos!
