Algebra - Ch. 17: Roots and Radicals (1 of 20) What is a Root?

We will discuss what is a “root”. The definition of roots are 1) where a function equals zero, and 2) a root of a number is another number such that multiplied by itself gives back the original number. (In algebra, roots has nothing to do with trees or plants.)
