Stomach or intestine problems are awful. Especially something serious like an obstruction. You’ll know how important your stomach and intestines are to your health when you experience a problem that’s for sure.

I had an Intussusception of my dujunol area. Just one night and it corrected itself while I stayed at hospital. Nothing seen from camera pill to follow or a procedure involving a camera blowing up intestines to see if there was anything causing it. But fur last few years I’ll get out the teeny feelings there, like slight pains. Once in a while. I also deal with constant constipation.

Until doctors learn to see internal hernias, long before their obstruction, all treatment options for this type of pathology will be reduced to wait-and-see tactics - we wait for obstruction and only then operate - at the last moment, when the patient’s life is in danger. Well, it seems like we’ll save you from inevitable death.

A month ago I was diagnosed with a colon that was twisted over a fallopian tube They put me on a low fibre low residue diet.Volvulus.
I am now waiting for a decision on what they are going to do if anything. Stool softeners ...gas pills...& discomfort. Dehydration andlow energy describe the current situation .When I was hospitalized for 4 days I was on liquids until the last day given one solid meal before release. I'm 77 years old.

Hernias can occur in any part of the gastrointestinal tract. The fact that radiologists do not see them does not indicate which types of obstructions, and in which parts of the gastrointestinal tract, are most common. Internal hernias are still the most poorly studied pathology, which actually occurs quite often.

If the patient is bloated and has a peg tube, would a NG tube be an option to release the air/gas in the gut? I feel like giving the tube feed, will cause harm but im unsure if the tube feed is needed for motility

What happens when you can seem to have a successful colonoscopy? I’ve been in crucial pain for 2 years, at one point I went almost a month without a bowel movement. Pretty sure I almost died due to poisoning of the blood

My daughter suffers from Chronic Intestinal Pseudo Obstruction. She also had emergency surgery for a twisted spleen and gastric volvulus. Then obstruction caused by adhesions.

Mid gut Malrotation . While rare it is still a cause of volvulus or obstruction or partial obstruction

I know I had an intestinal obstruction at age 14 a bypass was done n was very fine till 2014...then another obstruction operated on in 2016(adhesions)
Since then I've faced malnutrition due to poor absorption. The weight gain just doesn't occur since 2016.
A recent barium meal indicated a deformed duodenum..
The stool out put is almost equal to the amount of food eaten.
This surgeon says it was an effect from the first surgery and a corrective surgery must be done. Now I wonder daily why everything was just fine for 8years, but everything went wrong with absorption after removing adhesions.
