I loved the show regardless of its flaws. Especially at the very end, it gives a satisfying ending to the show, which transitions to the Obi-Wan we see in A New Hope. There’s even talks of a Season 2, which I hope never happens of course.

While for me personally the rest of the show and especially the story was meh I do think the standout performances and characters were Ewan as Kenobi (obviously) Vivian Lyra Blair who took on an almost impossible task of essentially playing a 10 year old Carrie Fisher as Leia and imo she did it awesomely, we know the woman she becomes and now we got to see the girl she used to be that was super emotional and impactful for me and my wife who both grew up with the original 6 movie saga, undoubtedly THE best performance however for us was Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader he was absolutely terrifying and awesome as the character, from a complete 180 to his reception from Attack and Revenge he along with the stunt double and the AI Respeecher recreation of young James Earl Jones’ voice combined to make Vader at his most powerful and imposing along with the end of Rogue One, after seeing all of Hayden’s scenes in this show I can’t freaking wait for him to appear in the Ahsoka show

I really enjoyed this show, I was skeptical about this show before release (as I personally didn't think it was needed), but it surprised me. I loved how it showed Obi Wan using his last assignment from the jedi order (protect luke) as a way of trying to correct the mistakes he made with Anakin.

I also liked how it used Owen and Beru, we never saw them do much in the original trilogy or the prequels, but here we saw just how much they cared about Luke and how they would do anything to protect him (this makes their deaths in episode 4 even more tragic imo).

Leia was really well acted (instantly felt like ep 4 Leia), and I liked how she was integrated into the story up to ep 5, I didn't mind her second rescue from Fortress Inquisitorius (as I love that location from fallen order and seeing it in a live action show was insane to me), but after that it just felt like the writers had no idea what to do with her.

You hit the nail on the head with Vader, I completely agree there. What a badass

I really liked Reva, I think she gets unnecessary hate, and she acted as a good primary anatgonist for the show.

I wish they did more with The Grand Inquisitor though, Rupert Friend was so good in the scenes he was in but they barely used him (his scene in ep 1 is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show).

Not super important, but I loved the mini 501st clone troopers begging scene, and ep 2 generally was just really interesting.

The path was an interesting idea, not great but a interesting.

BUT, I am getting so tired of characters getting killed with a lightsaber then being absolutely fine (I think Filoni's writing has the same problems), constantly killing off characters only to bring them back ruins the stakes, it means that whenever a character 'dies' the full tragedy of that death won't land because all we have to do is stick them in a Bacta tank (or pull them from their time stream with no consequence) and boom, alive and well. I hate this lazy method of writing and Star wars is becoming rife with it. Overall this was my biggest issue with the show, if Reva, the grand inquisitor survived getting stabbed, and Maul survived getting cut in HALF, why does every other character who died to a lightsaber not get the same treatment (SIDENOTE: I don't want every character who has ever died in star wars to return, I am just outlining why this is an issue)

Overall, the show was enjoyable, and better than I was expecting, but not as great as it could have been.

Honestly, I liked the show fine, but there are a few things which I think could have improved it:

1. Have more flashbacks to Obi-Wan's past to give the viewer a better understanding of the character and how he's evolved, maybe see how he met Qui Gon for the first time and how his death and the need to stay true to his promise to his former master to teach Anakin began to take a mental toll on him, and how badly it messed him up after the end of Revenge of The Sith. It'd also give Hayden a little bit more to do in the show since he'd appear in a lot of the flashbacks.

2. Give Qui-Gon's ghost a more involved role in the series, perhaps have him bookend the show by having him appear to Obi-Wan in Episode 1 telling him that he cannot teach him to become a ghost unless he manages to find the necessary inner peace within himself that'll allow him to selflessly let go of his bitterness and move on from his past mistakes. And when he does appear in Episode 6, have it be during Obi-Wan and Vader's final fight. When Obi-Wan manages to release himself from the rock pit that Vader buries him in, Qui-Gon arrives and tells Obi-Wan that through his faith and trust in the future of the Skywalker twins, he's managed to free himself from his emotional torture, and promises to teach him to become a ghost now that he's in a better place.

3. While the final fight is truly emotional and impactful, there are a few things that I would change. Firstly, I wouldn't have Obi-Wan be the aggressor at the start of the battle. I'd have him try to reach out first to Anakin. Vader says: "Anakin is gone, I am what remains. And now I will make sure you understand that, Obi-Wan", appropriately making him the aggressor at the start of the battle. The rest of it would go the same, and Obi-Wan and Vader would still have their emotional conversation as normal. However, I don't think it should end with Obi-Wan leaving Vader after he cuts off his mask. After Obi-Wan says: "Goodbye Darth", Vader is about to strike him down and Obi-Wan shuts his eyes preparing for the final blow when Qui-Gon appears before the both of them. Vader is horrified that an element from Anakin's past he repressed has appeared before him and is convinced that Obi-Wan is torturing him with force visions. Qui-Gon compassionately reaches out his hand to him which scares Vader to death and causes him to have a full on breakdown.

4. While I like Reva's arc of her slowly realizing that she's slowly becoming like Vader with every inhumane arc she does, I don't want the end point to involve Luke Skywalker since he wasn't needed in the story till that point. It seems like that in future Disney Star Wars media, there's this unspoken rule that when it comes to tying spin off stories set in the SW universe to the films, it always has to be linked back to the Original Trilogy, especially with the character of Luke Skywalker. The guy's appeared in almost everything now, most notably as a creepy deepfake in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, and I think many SW fans are having a Luke Skywalker fatigue at this point.

I honestly think this show should have been a movie. Instead of 6 unfocused episodes with some good moments spaced around, condense everything and focus on the transition between episodes 3 and 4. Show how Anakin became Vader and Kenobi became Ben. THAT'S where the heart of the story is.

What I don’t get is how Vader doesn’t connect the dots between Princess Leia and obi-wan kenobi. Even if this plan to kidnap her was off record, Vader would still have all the details of everything that has happened.
So he would have to know that Reva kidnapped Leia in order to lure Kenobi out of hiding. He either doesn’t care (which isn’t like Vader) or doesn’t think to question this (which isn’t Vader). In Star Wars reality he would do more digging and see that Senator Organo is the father/adoptive father. Vader would try to piece this together and perhaps uncover the connection.
Whether or not he discovers he has twin offspring is debatable, but the fact that none of this is addressed is huge, because of the implications and impact it has on the original trilogy.

I overall love the series, even if there are mistakes and some wrong Alien-choices.
One prop is to the actor of the mercenary, who captured Leia. He may be a musician and not an actor, but his acting is seriously good and underrated.
I also love that Mr. Hello There is reconnecting more of his force-powers and his Jedi-optimism, The Path is a cool idea, The Third Sister may not be great, but she's not the worst character by far, seeing Jabiim was cool, Lola was great, Haja was great and of course Darth Vader and "Hello There!". But I knew that 99% of the fandom would be driven crazy, would make dumb points and attack the writers. And how right I was!

Only the mention of "the motivator" dragged me totally out of the Story.

It was a great show, but I’m with ya. It feels like a lot of show was added to make a six episode series from a 2-hour movie.
