Ada Lovelace is the codename for a graphics processing unit (GPU) microarchitecture developed by Nvidia as the successor to the Ampere architecture, officially announced on September 20, 2022. It is named after English mathematician Ada Lovelace who is often regarded as the first computer programmer. Nvidia announced the architecture along with the new GeForce 40 series consumer GPUs and the RTX 6000 Ada Generation pro workstation graphics card. The new GPUs were revealed to use TSMC's new 5 nm "4N" process which offers increased efficiency over the previous Samsung 8 nm process used by Nvidia for consumer GPUs.

The Radeon RX 7000 series is a series of graphics processing units developed by AMD, based on their RDNA 3 architecture. It was announced on November 3, 2022 and is the successor to the Radeon RX 6000 series. Currently AMD has announced two graphics cards of the 7000 series, RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX. AMD officially launched the RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX on December 13, 2022.

EDIT: This was made with the NEWEST AMD driver (12/20/22), which improved the 1% & 0.1% lows compared to the release or press driver.
Sorry I dont like to shove something down someone's throat, but recently I have been getting so many "this is fake" comments on my recent videos, that I had to prove it again.

nice video thanks. I think if you're not going for RT (still deciding!) and have an amd cpu, looks like the all-amd option is the winner for fps average and 1% lows, overall smoothness which is very important to me and currently missing on 5800x/3080

My 4080 paired with a 13700k outperforms my wife’s 7900XTX/7950x in every game. My 4080 paired with her 7950x has severely worse performance so something is off with Nvidia GPUs paired with AMD cpus atm

After about a week of scoping around and waiting out the AMD release news, I finally made the decision to buy a rtx 4080. I think the issues with power usage, VR and drivers would have been too much hassle for me. Here in the UK the 7900 XTX is only slightly cheaper than the 4080, not like the 200 dollar difference in the US.

its no surprise that power draw and temps are lower on the 4080 since its using the latest nm manu processes. but that is also why it has a higher price tag. nothing new here, amd has always had the better price to performance with the usual drawbacks of being able to make that happen while nvidia tries to just have the best of everything with a higher price tag. whether you prefer one over the other is your choice but undeniably having both options is good for everyone.

Nvidia has some stuttering, AMD has a more stable framerate, it's strange that in other tests the situation is ok for Nvidia, maybe the processor works strangely with this video card. AMD needs to put a $800 price tag on the RX 7900 XT and it will be a great graphics card, but so-so, to be honest, the RTX 4080 is a more versatile graphics card.

Keyword REAL. This is the only benchmark/footage/statistics channel I follow. There are tons of channels out there showing footage and statistics but no cards. Easily fake.

the power consumption is pretty interesting, the efficiency on the 4000 series is pretty impressive. I'd take the 4080 over the 7900 XTX any day considering the results in this benchmark.
RT, Temps, Power Consumption and overall performance (not even counting in DLSS 3.0 and Frame Generation). Besides, good luck getting the XTX for MSRP. here in EU/Germany the XTX is the same price as the 4080 - if you get any. plus it has some severe temp issues, see amd reddit, we talk real bad here.

overall it's bad news, because I hoped AMD would put some pressure on NVIDIA and most of us would like to see AMD succeed. But it doesn't seem like they delivered the quality we all wished for. don't get me wrong, it's still a good card and the performance is there, put if you compare the numbers and features, it loses against the competitor and thus is the weaker bang for your buck.

Why does the 4080 image looks better in every test? Feels like the 4080 has a 0-255 color range and the 7900 XTX only 16-255. Can you please check the display settings with the AMD card? Maybe a wrong color settings.
