The mexican dude thinks Britain colonized Mexico, that would be Spain that's why you speak Spanish in Mexico

Garlic?
Bread?
Garlic bread?
That's how people sound to me when they seem astonished about beans on toast.
Yeah it's incredible that we've put two savoury things together for a quick and easy meal.
ffs

We do use spices in our food, nutmeg, cloves, mace, ginger, cinnamon, coriander and cardamom is used in lots of our traditional foods.
Our food however tends to be more herb based for flavour.

Just so you know, the "pinky up" thing was started by Parisian sex workers in the 1800s while sat at cafe tables to show they were available.

Carolina, seemed genuinely interested, involved and willing to learn a bit more, whilst also having her own opinions and being able to formulate them into coherence, without resorting to overboard stereotypes and ignorance of historic impact. (British food got a bad rap during WW2 thanks to rationing and the American troops being stationed in England, during that time)

we dont over season or over spice our food as in England during the age of sail and empire the availability of fresh meat fish and vegetables was widespread so there was no need to over use spices to mask the taste of bad spoiled meat

tbh most Brits would not pick up beans on toast it's eaten as part of the meal with a knife and fork

Less than 3 minutes in and the insults are just nasty.

UK beans are not close to being American beans sweet. Sure you used the UK beans? Also, not having salt and vinegar on the fish and chips? That makes it a different meal to what people eat. It'd be like meatballs without sauce. Deeply strange.

“The Brits traveled the world to -steal- *trade for* spices from everyone else but -do not use them themselves- *due to rationing during WWII didn't have access to them, causing US soldiers to assume we don't use them”*

Fixed that for you.

@5:23 "The London Library" isn't the world's largest library. It's The British Library that has over 170 million titles. The London Library is an incredible private lending library in Piccadilly but 'only' has about 1 million books on offer.

The entire video is peppered with little errors of fact.
