Is Charlie Immortal? How Death Works For ALL Demons In Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss!

A question has plagued the fandom from the very beginning: What happens to all of the demons we see in both shows who seem to meet their demise?

I wonder if as a contrast to demons mocking Charlie, the angels will fear her for being Lucifer's daughter. Meaning Charlie will have to prove herself to both Heaven and Hell.

I think that when a demon gets an injury that would kill them in hell they’re still conscious but their bodies are mutilated. It’d fit the whole pain and suffering thing.

My theory is that the Stolas we've been following isn't the original Stolas who fell from Heaven. He just had his name and owl traits passed down to him. Plus given Paimon's "stellar" parenting, it makes sense for him to recycle names.

The thing that's often not thought about is that Charlie being so nice and wanting good is not really that strange if you think about it. Genetically, she's literally at least half-angel.

This makes Charlie's Mission to redeem people a Heck of a lot more noble. Since no one can die except from extermination! Or From the Power of Upper Class Demons.

I never liked the whole 'respawning' thing, so on my roleplay server they 'regenerate' instead. Small change I know, but makes a big difference because it changes how people react to 'death' since the person dying and the person doing the killing both know the victim will return to life wherever their corpse is. If one sinner is trying to run away from another sinner they can be killed and their body brought back into captivity.

So question if Stolas was confirmed to be a child like 25+ years ago, would that mean Charlie is a lot older than Stolas because she’s confirmed to be 100+?

Man that’s crazy to think about because Charlie actually looks closer to age with Octavia who is only 17. When in actuality she’s much older than her and Stolas combined.

The recent addition of Paimon does raise the possibility of the Goetia’s angelic status, considering that Paimon himself is said to be a fallen Ophanim and that he briefly assums the form of one when we’re first introduced to him.

Honestly that makes sense that if the sinner permanently dies, their consciences would be destroyed but what’s left of their essence would still be around, just absorbed by the environment that they died at. Meaning they aren’t 100% dead since they’re technically part of the environment now, it’s just they can no longer comprehend things around them which is pretty fascinating.🤔🐱

I always figured that Sinner demons just get weaker everytime they die from non-angelic weapons, eventually becoming furniture, like the weird eye-bearing lamps or couches.

I mean: Stolas, Paimon (his father) and Asmodeus (Asmoday) are based on the real mythology of the Key of Solomon, they serve Lucifer and 4 other beings above them (each being rules over a cardinal direction). So the idea that they're fallen angels or have fallen angel parents doesn't quite work. I think it's very helpful to read the Lesser Key grimoire for lore purposes, there's lots of little bits you'll find in it that have been applied to the show

I've always wondered what happens after a hellborn dies. Do they become a part of Hell like the exterminated sinners? They can't ascend to Heaven, can they? Are their souls just gone forever? Are they reincarnated? So many questions.

Question: If a royal demon falls in love with a Hellborn (hypothetically speaking, of course), can they make their Hellborn paramour immortal by say, reproducing with them or if they use some powerful sorcery?

I think it would be interesting if maybe the seven demon princes were the fallen angels but all of the other fallen angels died battling one another creating the noble house of the Goetia. I.E. the houses wanted to seize power for themselves but the princes put them down and now they serve as the nobility, but also possibly looking for any chance to take one of the prince's seats for themselves. Might be why Lucifer keeps the human sinners for himself and doesn't let the others have them. That way they can't built for themselves an essential immortal demon army to challenge his claim to the throne.

If Charlie's hotel is successful, then she could spend the rest of eternity redeeming sinners. She will eventually become queen. (If Lucifer decides to step down.) The queen could turn hell into more of a test, to see if you can make it into heaven. She would have the power to help so many people! Maybe she could even find a way, to make life more pleasant for those who can't leave. Imps, Succubus and other hell born creatures, may not be able to make it to heaven. Though if they go through the redemption process, they could make their own heaven. ❤

If Lucifer can only be killed by a higher-ranking angel, then he can only be killed by God. Charlie, though, could be killed by her father.

I imagine that Earth born demons in hell don’t stay there forever, most of them anyway. Via redemption. The yearly extermination is that the angels are sent from heaven come to kill demons, but not randomly. I think that they target demons that have redeemed themselves, and then kill them out of mercy, so they can finally rest in peace. Just a theory though.

They might be only using half the lore in their canon. It might be that only Lucifer’s family, the 7 deadly sins, and the “king” goetia are immortal fallen angels.

But the other Goetia from the mythology are being depicted in this series as half immortal hellborn and the children of the “king” Goetia

My theory is for those sinners eaten by other demons and sinners is that there entire Being(or the portion of the sinner that is being eaten) is absorbed into the one who ate them.
This could be how alistar gained so much power so quickly. Whether or not they need to be eaten alive or how long after they've died for this to apply is up to debate till the show drops

And I also believe sinners not killed by angelic means or eaten by other sinners/demons, will ether respon later or become apart of the helscape.
