My son loved the Mental Math part of it. He enjoyed doing it in his head and adding the sticker. It was a fun thing to do with him. Hoping next year's will be just as fun!

I teach K-1 computers, and we use Typing Club. They do have a free portion, but I believe they put ads in. I really like Typing Club, and my students do too.

We love Explode the Code. Its our go-to for learning to read/phonics. We got one more lesson in level 3 and then going to level 4.

Sound exactly like my 9 year old son! I’m always hinting at trying a new curriculum because I get tempted watching flip-throughs lol. But, he say absolutely not. He always says stick with Good&Beautiful for Math and LA

I saw that you can't believe you have a 4th grader. I'm in denial that I have a soon to be 7th grader!! And a 5th grader. Please kids STOP growing so fast! It's bittersweet.

I always say if it’s not broke don’t fix it!!! I will have a sophomore this year and I can’t believe that my oldest is there!!! We love homeschooling!!! I don’t teach the bird of the bees in my house as my husband teaches that!!! I do discuss stuff like that with my older daughter and will with my youngest when she’s that age!!! I feel like TGTB level 4 needs an update!!! We skipped the workshop book as it didn’t work for my kids!!! My teenager is still doing spelling as he still needs it!!! My twins loved math 4!!! I put ideas in the back of my mind just incase we need to change things up!!! I’m excited for my twins to improve their basic math skills!!!

I totally relate! 😂 My oldest is like me and will always want to try something new but my middle child is like The Good and the Beautiful fo’ liiiife.
She was technically in third grade last year, but I had her go back and do the new Level 2 and honestly I’m so glad we did. It’s so good! She’s still finishing it up but I’m fine with that- they announced their new level 3 will be out in June. Hopefully they re-do Level 4 as well.
I like their math as well, but the amount of work really increases in Level 4. My oldest couldn’t hang, even though I didn’t make her do all of the problems and so we’re trying something different this year. She also hated doing it by herself with the videos and not together. I think it might have been too much too soon. She’s also my neurodiverse child, so I kind of feel like I should have known better and been able to handle it better. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m still working through Level 3 with my middle child but now I’m not in a rush. I think there’s a maturity needed as well as math knowledge, so hopefully we’ll be ready when she gets to level 4. It sounds like your son is already pretty independent in some areas, though, so he should be fine.

Yes, it did show a picture of the male and female anatomy. When you did the scroll through, I seen it at 3:01, 3:02, and 3:33 and you said it doesn't show the opposite sex. I just wanted you to be aware of that and what you had said. Unless you meant that the girl's journal only shows the girl anatomy and the boy's journal only shows the boys' anatomy. It sounds like it would be a good curriculum.
