I'm so happy having discovered you on here! My son is the same way, give him a worksheet and he's perfect happy. This review was so helpful, we will be doing just about everything you had your daughter do. I was homeschooled in my younger years and remember loving Wordly Wise and Saxon Math so hoping my son meshes with them as well!

Saxon is a good strong math program. I've used used it for years. I have tested my kids through when they seem like they might know a lot of material already. I just take a week or two and give them the test until they score under 90%. Then we start on the lessons from there. We just started using our Saxon with Nicole the Math Lady videos this year. It has been awesome.

I would love to see a wordly wise flip through. I just purchased A word a Day from evan moore for grade 2 but wordly wise was my other pick. Saxon math a fantastic math program. My eldest has worked his way up to Alegebra 1/2. Great program. I am currently using math lessons for a living education for my littles. But the plan has always been to move to saxon 5/4 when ready. Thank you for sharing! Looks like it's going to be a great year!

I let my middle daughter do that too for LLFLE 4 and 5! She's a gifted language girl, so I just let her go at her own pace. She just finished book 6 this year, and is so disappointed that there are no more levels!! We loved that program. My oldest hated TT computer math too, and asked for worksheets, so I switched her to Saxon math also. Unfortunately she had to go back a grade because she didn't retain the info with TT, but Saxon's a much better fit. You are so wise for following your children's learning styles and not just following curriculum trends. I really enjoyed your video, and looking forward to watching more. God bless you and your precious children! ❤

"Give me the worksheet, let's get this done." haha, I'm not personally the biggest fan of computer math, either. :) I love that you're totally okay with skipping forward in the book when she doesn't need to do the beginning lessons.

my 3rd/4th grader also loves worksheets and just wants to get to her homework and that was a little strange for me at first but I'm glad you could pick up on that and do what is best for her!!

Would love a flip through of Wordly Wise! Loving your channel. My 2 girls are the same ages as your oldest 2.

My kids don’t care for teach textbooks either. I wish they did because I love the ease of it from the parent perspective. But even with me going over the problems they get wrong, they don’t seem to retain much with it. They’re preference was to go back to Math U See for the upcoming year. Saxton is one I never looked into though, will have to check it out.

It’s not my first time watching but it’s been a little while, though. I never unsubscribed. I’ve just been busy. But I watch a little here and there. 🥰

I think we are going to use the word ladders as well. I'm interested to hear what your family thinks of wordly wise....I've heard such mixed reviews.

We LOVE daily word ladder! Also, thank you for that TT review. I never thought to ask if my daughter preferred worksheets or a more interactive curriculum. Guess what? She said she's a worksheet and move on kinda girl haha Thanks again!
