HOW I REVIEW:

As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:

A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

LINKS:

For all my videos I decided not to include links for the products. Everyone is living in different countries and therefore has to deal with different shipping and customs fees. That is why I would advice everyone just to Google the product within their country to find the best deals.
For instance: I live in Germany, It wouldn’t make sense to give you a German link while you might be living in USA or Asia. I hope that is understandable.

FULL DISCLOSURE:

This video is not sponsored. While I sometimes get bags for free, I usually have to pay custom fees and in addition to that all my videos have lots of production costs. Therefore I invest my own money into all of these video and have no intention to be biased towards a product or company. All opinions in this video are my own unless stated otherwise.

Great overview. Thank you for this video.

I totally agree with you. To europeans as us, the Heimplanet is a very good option; import taxes are too much high, and its a quite nice bag.

You are so awesome at reviewing and filmmaking. Your videos give me life. I always learn so much, I'm such a bag nerd. Ps: I love how you pronounce "comfortable." 👌🏼

Great review Bo. Thank you for your help when I was looking for a bag I just purchased the AER travel pack 2 and am waiting for it to be delivered to Australia. I’m interested that you didn’t bring up a go-ruck during your review but don’t mind. I can see they have their downsides, e.g. weight and cost but interested in them to start rucking. Thanks once again. Maybe I will see you in your travels one day.

Great video! How would you rate the Peak Design Travel Pack against the Aer 2 and Heimplanet Transit travel packs?

Thanks for this round up video - it's pleasant and informative as always. I was wondering if you would do something like a "top xx bags of 2018" video.

Good to see Aer remains as one of your top choice. I decided to get the Aer Travel Pack 2 after seeing your review (and many other reviews of other bags).

While the bag is a little wide for my small body frame, it is a good compromise for a 10 day trip. I can't wait to try it out!

Just curious though, have you heard of the North face Kabyte? I've been using it for a year and I like it a lot for its sleek and minimalistic looks. Would love to hear your views of it. :)

Didn't think I'd be buying a bag today but your comments on the Aer 2 made me go for it!

Been making do with a Mission Workshop Rambler but the top loading is annoying for travel.

Great video! I also have a small frame (5’2”) so I am super excited that GORUCK came out with an 18in 26L GR2. I hope you can get your hands on one and make a review as so far I cannot find any videos.

Good, compact pros & cons. I would note that you speak at some length about the Trakke bag costing 350 GBP, while not mentioning that the monstrous Mission Workshop bag is 585 USD!

Great Review!! Haha I'm planning for a trip to Hawaii and I have too many bags to choose from lol. I totally forgot about the Aer Travel Pack 2! I'll most likely take that

Is there a backpack like Cotopaxi allpa travel backpack but less expensive??

6:00 I have the Aer DayPack, which is smaller. I find a) the zippers pulls are too loud, so I replaced with silent pulls, b) the lack of clam shell makes it difficult to carry anything more than a few notebooks.

I was surprised how much I dislike not having a clam shell approach, even for a daily office bag.

Pro: Discrete look, and convertible from messenger to backpack.

Overall: I’m looking at the Topo commuter brief case and Topo 3-day brief case.

Great video btw!

Hi Bo,
Great comparison video.
Which has more capacity AER 2 or the heimplanet?
I am between these two and I can't decide.
I have seen the packhacker packing list using the AER an it's fits a lot of stuff.
Thanks in advance.
I adore your work.
Regards.
