Awesome video! New NVENC users beware: My files were corrupt when I was recording on the NEW NVENC. In my editing programs, it would appear very damaged. I fixed this by just going back to x264.

you Sir are a legend, I have been looking for the best recording setup for SLOBS as mine always seemed off on the quality, I was a CBR user so next I am Trying what you have put on here, although I use AMD cards so will try both the AMD and the X264 versions and see which works better on my machine.

Thanks for this Pun, do you ever do any AMD GPU stuff? Settings are a little different than what you show for NVENC, especially when it comes to CQP. If you don't handle AMD can you recommend anyone who does? I'll keep on googling also.

Thank you for your help by making these videos, I really appreciate it. I have less than 10 PC gameplay videos I have made so far, all of which I use NVidia Shadowplay to record.

I crank the settings to the max and match my native resolution and framerate I am playing at. I always end up with terrible pixelation though. It's very bad. It may be because my gpu is a bit on the weak side now adays (1060 3GB). I'm thinking this is causing the pixelation in recording to be much worse than it should using the same recording method but with a better gpu.

I'm going to mess with slobs and tweak some settings to see if I can get any better quality recordings without hindering gameplay performance. Although it seems it may just be time to upgrade the ole PC

My problem is that my video quality and my webcam quality are perfect when I watch it in 1080p but if I watch it in 480p on YouTube my webcam gets really blurry when I start moving around in the game.. but other people’s videos I watch on 480p their webcams still come in really clear which I don’t get I’ve tried everything and obviously ik 480p is gonna look way worse but it gets to the point where it looks like my webcam is frozen when watching it on YouTube to where other peoples come in clear not matter what

hello, I really need help with recording... I dont seem to get enough quality as I get with nvidias shadowplayer or whatever it is called... I set my bitrate to 40.000, or changed it to cqp and set it to 15, the settings are the same, max quality... I have rtx 2080 and ryzen 7 2700x as cpu I really don't understand. Am I expecting too much? -edit= I checked the rescale and it was on, It maybe the problem but still I have one more problem and I'll talk about it down below. -


when I record, there is a eye itching fps problem... I sometimes even get fps drops for some reason... how can I fix this?

i got a ryzen 9 3900x so i can use x264 to record high demanding games such as Modern Warfare and sometimes Fortnite. i tried vbr endlessly and i wasnt satisfied with my results. im a try cfr now. any advice? will i stress my cpu trying to record off one pc?
