I first bought stardew valley less than a year ago but wasn't looking up videos and didn't know about youtube communities that help. So I ended up getting so frustrated and annoyed after 30 minutes and quit the game because I couldn't get the hang of fishing. I didn't know which sound to pull on and was just really bad at trying to catch them. I didn't know about the training rod either. I didn't touch the game again a month or so ago when I started watching youtube videos about SV and learning about all the cool things in this game. Now I'm hooked and funny enough fishing is now my favorite money making task when playing lol 😆 videos like yours & Ezlilyy is so helpful so thank you.
I kinda wish they would give you the training rod instead of the bamboo and let you buy it once you get the hang of it but the game doesn't really let you know if you're struggling that the training rod is available and it's easy to miss for people like me. All those months I missed out on playing 😭 now I own it on switch, pc, and mobile.
