I have similar situation. However i have extra room to install the tank but the tank is closed to the wall that i can only slide paper through it. I don't know if this is going to be a problem iin the future.

Hey bro good night how things I have that same problem with ah toilet flange that someone else don and Am using a 12'' can I cut the wall and ease the toilet back

My question: why are toilets of all things so ridiculously stupid with dimensions as to have "options"? Why is this not as standard as pipe diameter? I can't go to box store and get 1 1/15" pipe because that just wouldn't be reasonable. No use for such a thing. Well...same here and these measurements *to me* scream something along the lines of "wiggle room" with building codes.

I have the same problem, but the other way. My drain is 13” from the wall.
