The first thing I'd do is disconnect the battery to avoid shorting any ICs with standby voltage but what do I know.

Get buildzoid to look at the PCB of this thing. I wanna know how far I can overclock my magic boomerang.

Not sure if you read the comments Steve, just want to say I'm really appreciating the quality of your content lately and your seemingly honest take on everything you do. Keep up the great work!

Steve, are you a cyborg who doesn't sleep and eat? We never see your back, maybe you have cables attached? You post more video then other channels while maintaining professional approach without cheesy additions. Kudos!

Having two layers of thermal paste and a copper shim between a vital chip and the heatpipe doesn't sound optimal, I wonder if the next revision would make it direct contact, or lose the copper plate for an integrated heat spreader. Most CPUs have integrated heat spreaders, but on some you can drop quite a few degrees by removing the two extra layers (paste+metal, not to mention two more possible air gaps)

Love the teardowns. Very interested to see the joy cons too, that's where most modders do their work.

Your sponsor gave it a good fixability score. It seems to be easy to take apart and put back together (relatively speaking). It's also very modular which means it'll be easy to replace parts if they get damaged.

This is the most legit tech channel I've ever subscribed to. Keep up the good work. Love all your info on different kinds of tech.

Some interesting engineering choices in there. Very modular, good for repairs. But it could probably 2 slimmer with a more integrated design.

It is great to see what a system like the Switch has inside it!
It"s a good lesson for future developers!

Should have did a thermal check before and after the thermal paste replacement to see if there was reduced throttling under load.

The ribbon cables are very easy to remove and replace. You don't just pull them out they all have a small black or grey retaining flap that you lift up before you pull them free and close back down when you push them back in, Do this and you will break less and be much less stressed when dealing with the pesky things :)

Please remember to disconnect the battery first and use plastic tools to touch the internals
