When you get points for not setting up software booby traps in your system so that it can't be repaired... we are in a dark timeline.

"Nintendo doesn't use software locks to limit repairs". Except for the WiiU optical drive. I found that out the hard way.

The wireless and Bluetooth performance on my oled switch compared to my OG one is so dramatically better, I am surprised nobody had picked up on it yet.

The Zelda TOTK special edition got me to finally pull the trigger on the OLED version. Had the original since launch date and even got a second one so I could mod my first one, but that OLED screen is stunning.

Amazing video. No bs, no weird order of events like the steam deck, etc.

Now if we have a broken game card slot, we will need to do some soldering to fix it instead of just replacing the module easily. I'm glad the display assembly can be replaced easily though but I imagine it to be quite a pricey part.

Does that mean the new daughterboard is now married to the SOC and that the game card slot will now require component level repair instead of easy 1:1 replacement as in the older model?

For first time Switch owners I think the OLED is a great way to get into the world of Nintendo Switch but for people who already own a switch like myself I think it's best to skip the OLED. I was debating about whether or not to upgrade to OLED but just cant justify myself into buying it since there is very little changes between the original Switch and the new OLED switch. Also, it's weird that the OLED is $50 more than the original switch! I hope Nintendo introduces a much better updated switch in the future that would justify upgrading from the original switch to the new updated switch.

Love the Stab at Apple at the end there 🤣

WiFi streaming seems stronger / faster and switching on in docked mode seems to have more range / quicker to respond with the controller.

Finally glad we can see the inside of it. It looks like the improvements they made are definitely worth it. It’s a shame it’s currently sold out everywhere and you can’t buy it unless you want to pay scalpers on somewhere like ebay at least $450…

It's funny how much these videos are helpful in so many ways. You would think that people watched this video out of curiosity, but there are TONS of useful information here. I for once am here because I was looking for how much of the frame around the screen of the Oled was part of the screen itself, and when you unglued it I had my answer. Keep up the good work, and THANKS!!!

Owned an OLED for a week now. Unlike V2, OLED model does get warm when both dock and playing on hanheld mode. I miss my V2 already. That thing cooling performance was extremely good.

0:00 ok I love the intro already it cool to be able to see the weird blue green and red pixels but then oddly enough they just turn into link? It’s so weird to see something so simple like that creates something amazing
