New $100 RX 580 Teardown

Today we're tearing down this $100 AMD RX 580 8GB GPU. There are a few variants of this type of card hitting the market, likely using harvested used RX 580 GPU dies in these "new" cards. I want to see if all the proper components are being cooled and what this PCB looks like once the cooler is pulled off.

I bought this brand as my first budget pc build, and overall its been 5 months and no problems, it used to crash on my bad unbranded 500w psu but i upgraded to a 600w gold rated psu and the card has worked flawlessly. I even overclocked the gpu and it handles the oc perfectly, its an awesome budget card for 1080p Low and a good esports card. Amd fsr also has given this card a new life too.

This video just reminded me that I have 2 msi Armor rx580 8g cards that I bought and never used. One is still sealed, hasn't been opened. I was going to run them in crossfire, but sli & crossfire support died off about the time I was ready to build, so I tucked them back and forgot about them.

These gpus are soooo prominent in the Asia market as they love their rpg/mmorpg/mmo’s etc which use gpus like this and other lower end ones like GTX 1060 / 1650 etc very well 💪🤩and perform quite admirably with high fps. The fact these are new’ish, cone with a warranty and are cheap is a great thing for budget pc gamers💰😱🤤 ….. but sad in a sense that many are forced to buy this old Gen tech as GPU manufacturers such as AMD and Ngreedia now are only focusing on high profit margin products and not new budget friendly vg performing products 🤦‍♀🤦🙈🤦‍♂🤡

These cheap (RX 580 8GB) are actually (Not RX580's) These are "potentially better" RX570 with a different bios under the name rx580 2048sp, which is a cutdown version of the rx 580 and made for china only. That's the reason why their slower than normal rx580. I actually own one and i highly recommend it for some people on a budget or just starting out on pc building, BUT i wouldn't recommend them for long time use because these are possibly mined on, on their life span and might not last for a very long time under your hands. But other than that their great

I just bought the Arktek Cyclops RX 580 8GB 256 bit V2 for $100 with shipping. On the pcb it says RX 480 V1.0. Was I scammed?

Why ppl just dont upgrade the motherboard itself such like changing all the chip to recent year and change the motherboard capacitors and make it to an actual gaming motherboard from a old regularly basics motherboard to see if you can make it happen lol.
