You forgot to mention that you won't be able to fully utilize the graphics card's power because, normally, when the card is connected to the computer (PCI), it achieves much higher data transfer speeds than Thunderbolt 3.

if u dont have thunderbolt 3 u can unscrew ur laptop and remove the wifi card and replace it with an adapter card to plug you egpu but u lose wifi
