The way she responded to the question about her trauma totally shattered my heart.

You can't just ask someone "Whats the single worse trauma you've been through?" In a room full of people, on live television, and expect them to react positively even if this is faked that's just not a good way to help someone like this.

She’s definitely not faking . Pay attention when Dr Phil says «  you’re not demonic » she felt reassured and her face lit up

Why did he ask her about her trauma?? OMG no that is such a trigger. Ugh I loathe exploitation, this is criminal.

I have DID, too. Like her, I've lost my family and friends because people are scared of me. Mental health is a very big problem in this country. I've been on disability for almost 14 years, been in and out of mental institutions. I am 100% Service Connected, PTSD, Major Depression Disorder. I'll have outbursts sometimes because I have a lot of anxiety, depression and irritability...one reason I'm not in a relationship. Thank you for letting me tell my story.

This woman isn’t faking. That is real dissociation she’s doing the way she is blanking out and stuttering. And saying she’s fine. I do that sometimes when I’m having a flashback of abuse.

He’s not trained in trauma AT ALL. This is abusive.

She was shutting down and escaping into one of the personalities that protects her when she is afraid. That trauma he asked about triggered her because that trauma is the trauma that caused the disorder. Trauma causes soul fracturing, soul fractures cause personality disorders.

Oh my goodness. I don’t know much about this subject, but even I can see she went thru something so traumatic that her personalities are protecting her. This is heartbreaking to watch and I hope that she found someone that can truly help her 🥺

Dr. Phil must not be very serious or educated about DID. That's messed up to push her so hard for the trauma, especially in front of the audience. Shame on him

I have d.i.d. and that was torture to watch, he knew how to handle that, yet he abused that poor girl, exploited her and for what viewers? That's horrible

Pain and fear in her eyes are heartbreaking. Who are we to judge? I have no idea if it is DID, or something else. All I know this lady needs someone who will love her the way she is and protect her. I just cant stop crying watching this video.

I just…I just wanna give her a hug… I pray she gets the help she deserves.. 🥺🥺

This shouldnt have been done directly in front of an audience. If they wanted to go on the show, fine. But it should have been in a room. Not stage.

This is heartbreaking. I hope she has truly found help and is living a more peaceful life now.

the fact that half these comments say she’s faking it, is disgusting. this video was very hard to watch, & i can see the pure pain in her eyes. dissociative identity disorder is very hard for someone to deal with, & having to recall traumatic events with this disorder is extremely difficult. it’s not an act, it’s a response to trauma.

The most frustrating thing is she did answer the question! She said ‘we can’t talk about that trauma’. She is clearly deeply affected by it. So you move on to another question and work back to the trauma another time. Jeez. Very uncomfortable to watch 😕
