I was thinking they'd start to become like the Harden Rockets with too many 3's. But the way these 3's are generated with tons of balls movement, screens, & hand-offs, with barely any iso makes the dubs completely different. Beautiful basketball

In 2015, coach nick was the first to highlight how effective the warriors offense was going to be

The problem with Klay sincd he returned from injury was that he didn't put as much effort moving off ths ball, which is justifiable due to having 2 lower leg injury, and even after putting effort to moved off ball he will pull the trigger instead of just let the ball flow. This put a lot of weight on steph as decoy.
Buddy Hield however, has shown that he is willing to move a lot more than klay did last year and also willing to move as decoy.
A nice bonus on top is that if Buddy Hield is not hitting, they can bench him instead of having to play Klay due to his status within the organization

I will only ever call the Warriors out if Steph or Dray leaves/retires. As long as they can build around them even if they'd become less effective due to age, I will always see them as a contender.

Buddy Hield holds the record for fewest games played before 1000 made 3s. Underappreciated player.

PS - this background music sounds like it belongs on a corporate propaganda video about how the company is paving the way for the future

Hi the hell did the Warriors land Terry Stotts . His Offense was underrated with the Trailblazers . I’m shocked he never landed another Head coaching job since .

5:09 Boy... That guy named "Steph Curry" seems like a great shooter. Look at him shoot the ball and make it look so easy.

It's about damn time Steph got some more shooters around him. It used to only be him and Klay. Last time he had some respectable 3pt shooting around him was '22 with Klay, Otto, pre-personal issues Wiggins, and pre-Draymond Poole

This is pretty tangential to this video, but I think it's kind of hilarious that Buddy Hield had basically a season and a half worth of more games played in those 5 years and yet still only leads Curry by 58 total threes made.

Great video Coach. The three-ball has become so powerful in basketball that it's mind-boggling. Very glad to have a more in-depth look at this with the Warriors, especially as it relates to the difference between this season and last season. Keep up the great work! God bless.

Coach Nick knows what he’s talking about.

He’s basically saying if Warriors can control their turnovers and match rebounding vs opponents, they’ll win a lot of games.

Cause they have shooters and an offense that fits.

It’s going to be an exciting year

Loved your breakdown and enjoyed the video and content so much I subscribed. I am a big Warriors fan, and have been ever since the drafted Steph, who I loved since his college years, and always loved watching his dad play back in his years. I really thought that he might bring something special to the NBA, and so happy to see that I was right. My wife who I married ten years ago, fell in love with Steph after watching games with me and hearing about him from me. Point is that for her birthday on October 23rd, I am taking her to watch the opening night game at Portland right behind the Warriors bench! So we are very excited to get to see our first game live together sitting right by them as they start this new season!

Your point on how little "shooting" the Warriors had on the team last year allowing defenses to swallow up Steph and ignore half of the court is key. Despite having Steph, the consistent VOLUME of quality shots from the 3pt compared to their opponents was one of the early signs to me that they had a chance when they won their last championship. Because once Poole started cooking a legit third threat on the floor, they could scramble the defense and that is what allows Steph to Steph things, and those things win rings.

Buddy just has to be Buddy and that alone unlocks Steph more than Klay was able to do last year. Add ANY kind of ascension in Kuminga, ANY modest return of Wiggins to All-Star level, full season from Draymond, and ANY sort of improvement from the combination of TJD, Podz, and Moody and suddenly they look like a contender for a Top 6 seed. I have long believed that if this team has to start out really hot the first 30 games of the year, because their road schedule around the All-Star break is nothing short of brutal and in the competitive west, they will need every game to count.

they'll shoot more 3s like Boston. but the difference is that Boston relies on their duo for driving to breakdown defense, and get quality 3s. while the Warriors rely on cutting and movement shooting of everyone. it's gonna be nice to see this matchup

If the defense holds, Dubs will be dangerous

This is why players of the past would find it hard to adjust to the modern game, teams purely hunt 3's. The offense run actions to create space for open 3's.
More chance to drive to open baskets from all that spacing, no more clogging the paint with defensive 3-second rule.

i was hoping to see a video not bashing the warriors and one that’s completely unbiased. i’m glad bballbreakdown made one bc everyone is counting out the dubs like they don’t have a top 10 player and a top 10 pdefender
