“the study of flow of heat or any other form of energy into or out of the system as it undergoes chemical and physical transformation is called thermodynamics”.

1. open system : consider a cup of hot coffee from which ‘heat’ is going to the surrounding and steam (‘mass or matter’) is also going to surrounding.
2.close system : consider same example of cup of hot coffee but it is closed at the top so only ‘heat’ is coming without the steam (‘mass’).
3. isolated system : consider same coffee in thermos in which neither heat nor mass exchanges.
Systems : note: “ heat and mass don’t just go to surrounding but exchanges ( depends upon the temperature of surrounding ).
