Supporting Carers – Promoting Carers Assessment

Carers assessment is not an assessment of how well someone is carrying out the caring role. It is an opportunity for Carers to discuss their caring role in a safe environment with their keyworker and concentrate on their own needs. It is a conversation which will result in the development of a support plan which will enable the Carer to continue in the caring role for as long as they wish.
