Thessaloniki Greece Macedonia

Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Macedonia, Greece, famous for its festivals and vibrant cultural life. It has also some of the best nightlife, entertainment and the most cafés and bars in the country.

Due to its rich history, the town houses many great museums: the Archaeological Museum, the Byzantine Culture Museum, the White Tower, the Science Center and Technology Museum, the Railway Museum which houses an original Orient Express train, the War Museum, the Ataturk Museum and many others. The town features many Christian-Byzantine monuments that are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and the largest planetarium in the country.

The National airport is served by many major airlines and is located 16 km from the town. The train station provides connections to Athens and other destinations and the central bus station is located 5 km west from the town. The port connects the city with all the island groups and with Piraeus.
