Edessa Greece Macedonia
Edessa is in Macedonia, Greece. Built in an altitude of 320 m at the place of the Acropolis of the ancient city, it is most famous for the waterfalls formed by the Edessaios or Vodas River flowing through the city. They are the biggest in Greece, surrounded by old plane trees with the water falling from 70 m high from the biggest waterfall in the city park. Other sights worth seeing are the old Castle with great view of the city, the grove of pines, the Yeni Mosque, the Ancient Town immersed in green and the Water Museum.
