Converting the equation to the form R sin(x - θ) would also be a good technique to use here. Easier in fact.
Here this would yield √13 sin(x - 33.69...) = 1.
But great presentation. So lively. Love the student interaction!

does the t formulae work for when there is like a sin squared or cos squared in the equation., or like translation of sin/cos?
