4K 240Hz QD OLED is inarguably the best monitor technology on the market today, between the excellent color lightning fast response times and per pixel local dimming, both in terms of gaming as well as HDR content. There's just nothing that can beat QD OLEDs cheeks in quite yet. But what if there was? Look fellas, nothing gets my member pumping harder than QD OLED. However, it's not without its faults. In fact, there's three big ones. One, it's not easy to clean and it can be scratched or permanently damaged very easily. Two, the ambient light handling is absolutely horrendous, making the display look almost closer to an LCD when put in a bright room. And three, well, the HDR absolutely blows at us. Now, to be fair, yes, I'd much rather use HDR than not on these monitors, but it just pales in comparison to their older, stronger TV brother who wears a wife beater around the house and sticks the monitors head in the toilet every day. And this is where allegedly glossy W OLED could allegedly maybe come in soon to give QD OLED a wet willy. Now I've heard from multiple sources that want to stay anonymous that apparently yes, a glossy version of a 32 inch 4K 240Hz W OLED will be coming soon and possibly as soon as this summer. Now, to be fair, nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but I do trust these sources quite a bit. And unless something's changed since I last talked to them, I am expecting that this will actually happen.

For anyone thinking of buying ANY QD-OLED, beware of the super soft fragile front panel. You can easily scratch it by lightly pressed finger nail or even micro fiber cloth to it. Touching it with finger or palm immediately shows grease and you cant use cleanex or such to remove it, only distilled water or suggested 70% alcohol cleaner. But, honestly, use just water and super soft cotton pads. You wont believe how EASY it is to scratch this. Its like made of pie cream. Many say micro fiber is ok, but other say they have scratched it. Me too. Reddit shows many posts about oled scratches, especially qd oled. The panels first layer is SO SOFT you wouldn't believe. My IPS can be cleaned with denim jeans and beer if I wanted and wouldn't show scratches due to the coating/film. But QD OLED. How gentle you need to be? Imagine you skin somebody aslive and pur them to sun or light breeze or put salt on them. Thats how sensitive the screen is.

Super soft 100% cotton pads or cloth and no chemicals, just distilled water. Samsung advises 70% alcohol cleaner, but who knows. Some say it over time reduces the antiglare coatings of the glossy panels. And they are some antiglare.

I hate the tradeoff we have between matte coating and raised blacks. Glossy is non negotiable for me, but raised blacks completely defeats the purpose of an OLED

It wasn't the coating on glossy ASUS, it was MLA native to the panel that caused the grain-like appearance. Last I checked 32" variant still uses MLA.

I'll be buying this, I don't care about the cost, this is the perfect monitor. The LG Matte coating is awful, I have it on my current monitor and is awful.

I dont think matte is that big a deal breaker. Does it improve inage quality? Sure in a side by side comparison... but in play would you still notice it more than the reflections?

I currently have my TV in a corner bc its the onky place devoid of anything that can glare off it.

I had the 27 inch version of this and I felt the way you did it’s unbelievable gorgeous at ever angle just so premium and couldn’t believe it was the best oled out I do have a review on my page on 27inch ASUS for consoles users.
