For years, doctors perscribed me anti-anxiety medication. Not one doctor ever asked me about my caffeine intake. I was chugging iced coffee constantly. Finally decided to go off the meds and cut the caffeine out, started doing yoga and being more mindful, way better option for overall health.

I was a big time coffee addict. Shut in due to an ice storm with zero caffeine did me it. Horrible withdrawals. I realized how much coffee I was dependent on everyday thru that. I decided not to go back to coffee when the storm was over. Best thing I ever did! I don’t wake up with headaches & body pain. I’m not grouchy & & there isn’t a need to constantly keep it up like I was. I drink a glass of water in the morning & let my body do its thing for an hour. I can’t remember a time I have felt so refreshed & ready to go in the mornings. This was the best thing I’ve done for myself in yearsss 🎉❤

I always drink a pint of water when I wake up, then 1 cup of coffee. Water rehydrates- and it is one of the best things you can do for your heart first thing in the morning

Yes! I do it with warm water and lemon first in the morning, and about 2 hours later I have a cup of coffee.

Holy crap that’s my problem! I did not know that I always drink my coffee on an empty stomach and have anxiety. I can’t wait to try this.

I take my supplements, then workout and then drink my coffee. It’s like my reward for working out 😊

I was regularly grabbing a coffee on the way back from the school run. I felt like mornings for me were my MOST anxious time of the day. I decided to swap the coffee for peppermint tea and the results were almost instant. No shakes no dread feeling until I ate. I have always loved coffee for the taste not the stimulant but after switching I would never go back. Only drink coffee now after a meal.

I only drink decaf now and it's maybe 3 cups a week max. My energy levels are so much better.

Due to its similar structure, caffeine binds to adenosine receptors. Caffeine, not only blocks adenosine's ability to slow nerve activity, but it increases nerve activity, leaving us stimulated, more alert, energetic, and occasionally with coffee jitters.

Whoa. That hit like a ton of bricks that’s so me. Now this is in my brain. Ok day 1 starts tomorrow. Bad routine breaking here we go! Thank you been following you for years now can’t even remember how many Thank you for sticking it out with us I can only imagine it’s been hard but you inspire me to keep going. Yes, dr. Mandell was saying it same.. the best time to drink coffee is 9:30-11:30.. 13:30-17..
