At first I was wondering, why you spent 5 mins out of 7:36 by setting a test account, But then you actually got to the topic :) and it worked like charm, so thank you very much for help. Cheers.

I am unable to get it working at all, don't get a password prompt when browsing to the SMB path as listed in Synology. Is there anything else you did apart from what is in the video?

The title of your video is quite misleading as it gives the impression that one would be connecting from a Synology NAS to another SMB share located on a different NAS.
