As a scientist myself, ive struggled for years knowing that there is something more to reality but not knowing how to give it a voice. I can't believe in religious literal dogma, when i stumbled upon Rupert's banned TED talk...my whole life changed and i literally looked at everything a new way and started to find meaning again, thanks Rupert, you are what scientists are meant to be.

First time I've listened to Rupert today and have instantly grown high regard, respect and love for this human. Apart from his deep knowledge, he seems to be such a likeable person with a deep humility and simplicity.
Also thanks for asking the right questions, Curt and Peter. Sharing.

It's too narrow to describe Sheldrake as "a researcher in parapsychology" only. The Guerilla Skeptics keep editing his wiki page to describe him that way in an attempt to discredit him. His broad research interests include parapsychology, but are are broader.

I was a rather militant, materialist, atheist up until my mid-twenties. Through spontaneous experiences and then my own 'experiments', I realized that my atheist materialism didn't cut it to fully describe the world and I changed. I have pondered what my former materialist militancy was all about. I realize now that it was based on fear. I was basically very afraid of living in a universe that might not be completely (easily) explainable, so that's why I attacked and ridiculed others.

Love you Rupert!! Thank you for pushing your perspective even against the materialist dogma!

Rupert Sheldrake and his work is criminally overlooked. Richard Wisemans lies about the dogs who know when their owners come home-study was an eye-opener; do not be fooled by anyone who claim to be rational and above petty feelings. Go Sheldrake.

This is the BEST interview of Rupert Sheldrake. I love that it extends and amplifies so much of what Curt is bringing into normal conversation. We need to be able to talk to our BA/BS-educated peers, and Sheldrake and other interviewees on this channel give us non-physists language. Thank you, Curt.

Thank you so much for this interview! I have heard reference of Rupert Sheldrake in other podcasts, but hadn't actually heard him speak. I have always been open to new experiences, so once or twice a year would eat magic mushrooms to open up new neural pathways, blow out the lingering trauma and connect with people at small musical gatherings in the woods. I suspect that people are beginning to shift away from materialist views in steady numbers. I don't advocate using mushrooms or any psychedelics without proper preparation, but they can be very useful in the quest of becoming more conscious.

Another great conversation. I've watched several conversations with Rupert and find your conversational guidance brought out some new angles of his views. I also like hearing his thoughts on other concepts held by others.

When we were young, we had a beagle named Taffy. I don't know if she ever waited at the window for us, but she adored our grandfather, who lived across town. He visited from time to time, but not on any schedule, and often unannounced before he pulled up in front of the house in the big Oldsmobile. Taffy invariably knew he was coming and got up in the window 5 to 10 minutes before he arrived, in a state of excitement. We observed this many times. Grandma would often visit unnanounced, in the same car, but Taffy never waited for her, so the car had nothing to do with the connection Taffy felt with Grandpa. Sorry, Grandma. Taffy also taught herself to beep the car horn exactly like a human, but that's another story.

Many of my friends, who are interested in Curt’s area of interest, come from a spiritual awakening. Thank you, Curt, for giving us other ways to talk about our experiences.

I love Dr. Sheldrake so much. What an awesome guy. He even chatted with me over email and I’m a nobody. I really hope he’s right about everything. What a lovely man and worldview.
