Against right handers, Dimitri Dragin’s focus is getting Uke out of their right handed stance. But when against left handers feels he can attack without a large set-up - his favourite technique in this situation is a Left Drop Seoi Nage.

Dragin will only do this attack if he is dominating the Kumi Kata and controlling the distance. If he’s second to grip up and unable to dominate, then he will execute his Ashi Waza.

Dragin will always execute his Seoi with some form of set up first. It’s very rarely a direct attack, where he grips up and just drops.

He is always looking for a reaction from his opponent. Provoking it by either changing his speed of movement, playing with the lapel or using Ashi Waza.

In this series of videos Dragin will teach you the secrets that made his Drop Seoi Nage so successful in competition. Giving you the possibility to add this formidable attack into your arsenal of Judo techniques.

He will also reveal how he executes his Left Drop Seoi Nage when fighting right handers, showing you how you can do the all-important the set-up, enabling this technique to happen.

Learn how to execute one technique from multiple competitive scenarios only on Superstar Judo.
