thank you so much i did this today in judo class caught my oponent off guard. im only a yellow belt but and he was a orange belt. felt great.

Good explanation. Especially that in reality we never pull someone up on his toes with this kuzushi but freeze him on the spot.

How worried should one be that their opponent might smash their face into the top of your head?

You can get much, much more power intl the throw if you jump forwards from the knees (try to make a floating roll(?)(in dutch its called zweefrol, a judo roll with a big jump in front) from the knee position) instead of just standing up in knee position(yeah idk how to say it).

I got that tip from my trainer yesterday and immideatly i can use it more effective in randori.

It helped me like i said, but im a judoka, i dont know if big throws are that important in bjj.
