In my opinion the wardrobe of Arwen is far more exquisite than anything I have seen in medieval-ish tv-shows or movies I have seen. Props to the one who designed her dresses.

Man I love Elrond. His love for his daughter is inspiring. Especially that look on his face when he realizes her immortality is leaving her.

This is for sure the saddest scene in the trilogy for me, and for those who read the books it hits even harder.
Basically, when humans dies, they go outside the "Circles of the World" to a fate known only to Iluvatar, God, while the elves go to Valinor in the Halls of Mandos (one of the Valar), and can resurect after some time depending on how they lived. Or just take a ship to Valinor if they did not die in Middle-Earth. And they stay on Arda (the world) until the end of times. So when Arwen chose to become a mortal, Elrond knew that after he leaves Middle-Earth, he would be separated from her forever, and forever here isnt just a figure of speech but literally until the end of times since he will live eternally in Valinor and she will exit the World as all humans do.

When you think of it, Arwen in a way basically saved Middle-Earth.

It was her decision to forsake her immortality and the trip to the Undying Lands out of her love for Aragorn that convinced Elrond to give the race of Men a second chance, thus reforging Narsil into Anduril.

Without Anduril, Aragorn would not have gotten the support of the Army of the Dead. Without the Army of the Dead, Minas Tirith would have fallen. And had Minas Tirith fallen, Aragorn would not have been able to unite the Gondorian and Rohirrim armies into assaulting the Black Gate to lure out Sauron’s army and give Frodo and Sam an opening to drop the Ring into Mount Doom.

So yeah, give some credit to Arwen.

I love the symbolism of showing fallen leaves on the ground, implying that the elves time is coming to an end. Bravo Vince!

I think Elrond sees Elros(his brother) in Arwen when she chose mortality.after Elros chose mortality, he became a king and was married with mortal, similar to Arwen who would became a queen after being married with Aragorn.

Does anyone else tear up at the heartbroken look on Elrond's face at 1:22? The expression on actor Hugo Weaving's face when he realises his daughter has become mortal and will eventually die gets me every time. Hugo Weaving really should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for thsi role in my opinion.
