Is the new GoPro HERO 10 Black finally worth buying/upgrading to this year?! It's even more expensive at $500, but we finally have a new GP2 chip, 4K120, 5.3K60, HyperSmooth 4.0 stabilization, improved touchscreen... but does it overheat?!

Good review! I have had Go-Pros since the 5 and always get the latest one (except the 8, smh) and they keep getting better and better. So far with the 10, no over-heating, better touch screen and no freezing. Sold the 9 for 250 and invested 150, so $400 with a 1 year Go-Pro it!

I bought Hero 9 a month ago. Returned after a week as I got frustrated with the buggy performance and asked the store to keep the credit until 10 shows up :-) What a good move that was, picking up the 10 this week.

I appreciate the fact that when you test out action cameras you aren't afraid go out and get them dirty. All other reviews I've watched the reviewer at most, runs or walks around with the camera for their "action" shots. Also, you aren't afraid to call out their app for the trash it is. At least it's more stable and responsive than previous generations.

You overheat the camera by having hypersmooth turned on and covering up the vent by sitting it on table, thereby covering the release of heat and lack of air intake. Should consider having that disclaimer.

I’ve been using the Hero9, it’s ok. The touch screen feels like tech from 10 years ago and sometimes it shuts off randomly, but I’d give it an overall 7/10
