So you open the setup in the folder while it’s stuck on validating because I kinda don’t trust the setup.

i downloaded the unity setup (the black and white icon) and it finished downloding but when i click next, it just closes, what do i do after?

After your done pressing finish for the setup what do you do nothing happens its still Validating

It's really strange that it's not working. The app should just do everything, we shouldn't have to dig to see why the editor isn't validated.

also a tip for some people you might not want to leave it on the desktop as on some computers that stores it on one drive which (for me) caused issues.

I had this problem and i fixing it by opening the hub as admin then right clicking on they file its going to and go to properties then security then giving giving full/all contol full permission
