How Valorant Ranking System Works - Rankings Explained

Although it’s just a year old, Valorant has managed to cement itself as one of the most popular free to play games, thanks to it’s high skill, high intensity, competitive gameplay as a first person shooter. While Valorant does have a ranking system, how exactly it works can be a bit confusing. If you’re new to the game, or an old player who’s just curious, Here’s how the Current ranking system works!

This game is so against you ranking up. They place you in higher ranked lobbies if your too good for your rank instead of just putting you in a higher elo Makes no sense

How placement matches work if you mvp the first watch for example you get plat gold silver. You have a high chance for plat. If you do terrible in your 5 matches and the lowest rank is silver you can’t get below since that is the lowest.

I got highest kills of all 36 and match mvp and we won, im in iron 2 and still got only +18. And even when losing when iam mvp i got -19 and if i got a lil more down and then -25, never got above than +28. It sucks and u can never rankup with this stupid system which you dont clearly understand why ur losing that much or getting so less even while winning.

Im here because i just did all games, won all except for 1, had very high KDA and was even team MVP but i got bronze 3, i still dont get how it works

I play my placement matched right know and im 2/5 placement games right know. My lobbs is High Gold and low Platinum players. Can someone explain why that is? I perform pretty good against high gold and low platinum when i lost. Im loosing with good impact on that game. If i win i mostly get match MVP or im the 2. Or 3. Best out of the entire game

Do one need to win unranked matches continuously?

Iron = Noobs
Bronze = Very Bad
Silver = Bad
Gold = Okay
Platinum = Nice
Diamond = Good
Immortal = Great
Radiant = G.O.A.T

P.S: Not applicable to hard stuck players who have played game for more than one year consistently.

its so weird i get a game with like bronze 1s in comp and i do alright but then in unrated i get in games withs silvers and drop 20+
