2024 Toyota bZ4X Review | Toyota’s first EV is finally here, but was it worth the wait?

Any new Toyota model is important, but when the Australian market leader releases its first battery-electric vehicle it’s a very big moment.

But the question is whether the 2024 Toyota bZ4X is up to the challenge. After all, this is a Toyota the wheels literally fell off when it was first launched overseas in 2022.

A couple of years later, the Toyota bZ4X has now arrived here updated and competitively priced against its mid-size electric SUV opposition, led by the dominant Tesla Model Y.

Awww... so much to get an all new affordable streamline Prius 5 door coupe (include plug-in hybrid) at the expense of being replaced by an expensive electric bZ4X with limited drive range and no spare tyre when stranded.

Don't like the looks, would prefer the Tesla. But I am glad Toyota Australia are finally selling EVs. I'd prefer something smaller, cheaper and faster though.

Bz4x stupid name. Small instrument cluster hidden by the steering wheel? Should be mounted on the column so it moves with the steering wheel. 20inch rims = harsh ride. So big fail. And No spare tyre?
