Building A Fender Stratocaster Parts Guitar, otherwise known as a "Partscaster". This is the process of buying in separate body, neck, pickups and other hardware components in order to create your own dream specification guitar. In my case, I had a Jeff Beck Stratocaster loaded Pickguard with Fender Hot Noiseless pickups (11k ohm) and the special tone pot wiring that includes the extra option for rolling off the tone on the rear bridge pickup. Whilst this isn't a how to show you step-by-step tutorial, I mention the merits and pitfalls of undertaking such a home project.
