Nice that left handed necks and bodies are available. Love Fender guitars 🎸

I got a fender replacement neck and it's rough. I'd think $300 for a neck alone would be nice but the nut isn't filed and the fret ends are sharp! I've gotten a mighty mite neck for $170 and it blows the fender neck away.

Wouldn't it be cheaper just buying a MIM right off the shelf already made? They're like $575 on Musician's Friend

Hi Dan, just thought I'd put in my 2 cents. I think It's great that Fender is finally selling bodies and necks, but you're not offering much of a selection of colours for bodies like years ago in the late 80's and the early 90's. Fender offered every colour you'd want. What's up with Fender? For years they wouldn't sell their necks and bodies. I personally went to USA Custom Guitars in Washington. They made me two incredible birdseye maple with Madagascar rosewood for $300.00 USD. Had to refinish them myself, but excellent neck. I did buy a C shape neck from Fender in the late 80's that I didn't like at all. I honestly don't like Fender necks. Thanks Dan, I love all of your videos on repair. You're the best when it comes to that. Thanks Michael Newell from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

You have a MiM neck! Looks fun to do it the way you do, what did I do?
Bought a 2023 seafoam green Fender Player series Stratocaster.
Swapped bridge pickup to Seymore Duncan SHR-1B
Swapped the Neck to DiMarzio Air Norton S
Swapping the mid to DiMarzio Pro Track ( waiting for it to be shipped )
Swapped the tuners to Fender Locking Tuners
Swapped the pickguard to US made pickguard ( the one it came with had 2 dents that pointed outwards so Fender issued me a new one )
Swapping the Tone/volume pots to Fender 500K split axel pots. ( waiting for those 3 to be shipped as well )
Swapping the Pao Ferro Neck to a Fender American Professional II Scalloped Stratocaster Neck, Rosewood ( will be shipped and arrive in mid of September )
What gauge have i set it up with and will still set it up with when the last parts for it arrive? 08. gauge 😀

Will this make the Fender a Fender Player Series Stratocaster? or lean more towards US made?
Will it sound awesome, look awesome and feel wonderful to play on? I bet it will since swapping the pickups already made it sound cool, but even cooler when the last parts arrive!

Do I have loads of experience with building or customizing guitars? Nah.. I know how to solder that's it.. Was it hard to learn how to alternate it to a better guitar? Not really...
Did i learn how to intonate and setup my guitar via YouTube...? Yes I actually did...
Did i need to use youtube to swap the tuners? Not at all ( i do have 20 years experience in building computers, disassembling GPU's repasting and such )
Is soldering hard? Nah, most easy thing you can do, and if it scares you to understand where to solder the cables, just take a picture before desoldering 😀

Is modding a guitar fun? It is... Should everyone enjoy doing so? In my opinion... yes!
Do i want to try to build a guitar like you do in this video, sure, but then I would want to build an active guitar with Sustaniac system pickups which is a little more complicated but complicated doesn't mean impossible or that it's not fun! 😀

So what do you think about my Fender Stratocaster? Do you think it would have been better to keep it stock, OR do you think it's 10 times better with the alterations listed above? :)

You can find cheaper prices than Stewmac for original Fender parts. I made a Fender American Telecaster for about 750.00, The quality matches those that cost 1, 400-1, 900

Well... but not for us folks living in europe because the manufacturer does not want us to get hands on this stuff.
