in this video we imagine how Jeff Durbin would respond to the very common claim of @TheAtheistExperience that God is responsible for people going to hell. we go to Romans chapter 9 to see what Paul says about God's sovereignty in election. @TheAtheistExperience may not like it, but that alone does not prevent predestination from being an accurate doctrine

I almost became a calvinist i just couldnt understand the whole idea that purposeful evil is preferred over purposeless evil. Like why be in favor of any evil?

but not everything happens accord to God’s will, though, right?

like, God doesn’t will us to sin, yet we still do, and we send ourselves to Hell through sin and non-repentance, right?

Matt is interesting to listen to in some debates but man is it so weird when he constantly creates strawman arguments even though he’s been corrected on some subjects like this one in the video but he hates to have his points strawman.

What you believe in depends largely on where you were born, the culture you were brought up in and the creeds/doctrines that were imposed on you by your parents in childhood. It would seem that this very trivial argument should close the further discussion, and yet ... Little Ahmed born at this minute in Saudi Arabia will not read the Bible but the Quran and he doesn't care about your Jesus. Since you claim that your God brought to life both you, born and raised in the Christian spirit, and Ahmed, a follower of Islam. What kind of idiot do you have to be to think that billions of people in the world professing other religions live in error and will be ultimately damned? Sometimes it seems to me that it doesn't matter if you are a murderer, a pedophile or a thief, the most important thing according to you is to be born a Christian and be able to say the words "Jesus is my Savior" before dying. Where is the sense and logic here? What kind of free will are we even talking about? An indoctrinated mind that doesn't know the concept of critical thinking is a dangerous mind regardless of creed. However, I am aware that millions of people, especially the mentally weaker ones, cannot imagine life without faith in an invisible being who takes care of them on a daily basis, listens to their requests and performs wonderful miracles that break the laws of physics.

He's not PERFECT BUT Matt is as solid of a debater and as strong of a representative for the Secular Humanist Athiest movement I'd put him up against anybody. And honestly I think Dirbin would get wiped out by Matt.
