My grass guy is Mexican! He’s a blessing to me! We have a hard time communicating sometimes but he’s always about the work! Fast, clean, and efficient! Occasionally we talk and laugh briefly about this and that but he’s a genuinely good dude overall!

native “mexicans” (mexico wasn’t a country yet, so they were just native americans) were actually forced into encomienda system by the spanish. there’s not an english translation of that word but it basically just means they were forced into labor. the natives escaped and fought back or were killed by disease and the system failed
