This video blew my mind, so many amazing tips! I got some equipment but my shots were still terrible and I got so frustrated I had to take a break from making content until I could ‘fix it’. You fixed 90% of my issues in this one video. You nailed it, 💯 recommend for anyone getting started

One thing that a lot of YouTubers don't understand that the growth of a channel takes time. Nothing happens overnight and you're gonna need to nurture your channel like a plant. You need to water it daily, provide sunshine, and most importantly, have patience! 👌🏻

Great points, some things I did to maximize space: Falcon Eyes Mat Light, really thin and gives me so much more space. (I started with a ring light). Black out curtains to prevent light leaking in and make sure my light is consistent. Low aperture lens, nifty 50! The blur helps make it look more like a studio. Throw some light on the wall as well! Finally, I use the Manfrotto magic friction arm and clamp to attach my camera to my desk! Such a space saver. Attach as much to your desk as possible. Need that floor space.

Some boxy rooms have sound bouncing off the walls. It is another reason to consider how much room you have behind you and whether you need sound absorption materials. You can get a fairly cheap mover's blanket, decorate it the way you want and hang it on a wall. It my experience, it can really improve your sound.

I never thought of angling the light towards the wall, this is a great idea! I'm still trying to figure out lighting, and sometimes my videos can end up looking a little harsh, so great tip! I will add this info future content 🙌🙌

Your videos are exactly what I've been searching for!! I'm trying to learn about the basic gear needed to start a channel on a barely existing budget. I always give a verbal commentary when I watch tv shows, so I thought, "Hmm, maybe I have enough to say in order to start a conversation on my own channel."

I’m an actual educated broadcaster and had to hit this for a quick refresh on the green screen and what not. Awesome video I’m rebranding my podcast and starting back up after a couple years off raising new born babies hahaha. You’re a smart man

Thank you for this video.. I purchased a lot of equipment with a COVID grant a few years ago and I had such a horrible case of COVID, it virtually destroyed my lung capacity. Now, I have most of my lung capacity back and I'm getting ready to start my YouTube journey. Thank you for your work!

I really have to watch that video about the all in one stand again bc that seems like the perfect set up. I reorganized my furniture too. I signed up for that class (yesterday was good). I always batch record. Thanks so much for your help!!

My filming set up is sooo bad. Just started my channel in January this year. Filming on my Samsung in the bathroom. It's thr only space that gives the most light and best sound. But I'm looking for ways to elevate. These tips were sooo awesome. Thank you sooo much. 🤗

I found so much value in your tips. I just launched my first video - shooting it from a spare bedroom. "See what I'm shooting in my bedroom" I definitely keep coming back to your videos! Got this one marked as "watch later" cause I need to keep reviewing it"

If I don't film in nature, I have to do it in my living room. I have no other room available, and my living room is quite small, so these are incredibly helpful tips! #noexcuses - just do it.
