A great tip for people using Boya mic - If you're using Filmic Pro, you can manually change the mic input. For me this was a gamechanger. My cheap but awesome setup which has worked at least up to 2000 subscribers is:

Tripod, iPhone XR with Filmic Pro, Boya Lav Mic - and some daylight! Check you some of my videos to get an idea of the quality. Oh and also I record in 4k but export in 1080p for youtube :)
