Given KTM’s recent challenges I think they need to be more price competitive and as a sign of goodwill drop the Try before you Buy features and just bundle those with the standard bike. They need to win back some credibility.

As an owner of duke 890 I really don't recommend buying ktm... I had some many problems with it. Cost me thousands of $ to fix the damn thing...

320 mm rotors on the front for the R version then. The regular 990 has smaller rotors at 300mm.

I swear motobobs channel is a perfect example of motorcycle content stagnation: a guy reading spec sheets from a brand who just bumps up capacity every few years and calls it an update while not addressing reliability issues. Amazing.

That seems like a change in philosophy for rear suspension on a street bike. I like the exhaust routing. The whole design looks like it would make a good scrambler with maybe good rider comfort.

Ahoooj, letos jsem jsi koupili duka 990 tzn 2024 a mám na nem nalitano 5tis km a zatím klape skvěle, jedine co jsem si nechal poladit je quickshifter na 5 a 6 uz nechtěl kopat.... techpack a trackpak jsem mel k moto gratis. Za mě super lehka a zábavná motorka na ktere se skvěle sedí, měřím 186cm

So...the new look is a vast improvement over the standard 990 Duke. I was quite underwhelmed when I saw that bike in the flesh - all that matt black on the engine, frame, seat, tank; it was way too monochrome. The use of an orange frame and white side panel really makes the bike pop, IMO. But it won't get much traction in the market until KTM fix the mechanical and PR disaster of the cams etc; so far 0 out of 10 for honesty and customer engagement. And with bikes like the MT-09 coming in A$ 3-5 K cheaper they won't sell many in Aus. And to take up on cornelliushoffman below, "Who is this bike not many riders downunder.

have I not seen duke 890r's for sale 23 model for like under ten grand? all due no doubt to the cam issue, that's the one I'd buy..I've got a 22 model, but I paid full whack twelve and a half..well pissed off..Great bike though..cams allowing. I certainly wouldn't pay for a new 990 though, just silly money
